6K Full-Frame Sensor
The C80 camera is equipped with a new 6K CMOS sensor, providing exceptionally low noise, enhanced sensitivity efficiency, and improved 4K imagery through 6K oversampling. This is achieved with the advanced light capture technology of the back-illuminated, stacked CMOS sensor.
Triple-Base ISOs
The 6K CMOS sensor also offers three ISO speeds: 800, 3200, and 12,800. This range allows you to capture the brilliance of settings like a sunlit landscape, as well as the nuances of low-light scenes like interior locations or cities at night.
Multiple Recording Formats
The C80 supports various recording formats to meet the needs of different projects. Supporting 12-bit Cinema RAW Light of up to 6K 30p, Canon’s latest offering also features new MP4 video formats such as XF-AVC S and XF-HEVC S. These options deliver exceptional oversampled 4K 4:2:2 10-bit image quality with manageable file sizes, streamlining workflows from production to post.
Updated Body with SDI Input
The updated C80 body has improved functionality including a redesigned and removeable top handle provides improved comfort, while a new multi-function shoe expands the range of compatible audio accessories. In addition, the camera introduces a brighter LCD panel which offers better visibility when used outdoors as well as SDI input in addition to a full size HDMI port.
Improved Autofocus Function
The C80 offers Canon's Dual-Pixel Autofocus function, enhanced by the wider area of the back-illuminated CMOS sensor. Intelligent tracking allows precise following of eyes, face, head, and body areas of subjects including select animals.
